etched leaves earrings
These lovely earrings have been created by etching a dense pattern of leaves into a piece of sterling silver, before sawing out these simple teardrop shapes and doming them slightly at the larger end to give them an organic, leaf-like shape.
The etched areas have been given a soft and subtle white silver oxide finish by way of repeated heating. The raised areas have then been gently sanded back, leaving an eye-catching, shiny silver finish.
The earrings have a comfortable weight to them and the leaf-like shapes will swing as you move. The etched leaves pieces are suspended from handmade sterling silver ear wires.
The etched leaves pieces are approximately 1.8cm (0.7”) at their longest point and 1.2cm (0.5”) at their widest. The ear wires are 2.6cm (1”) tall – 4.4cm (1.7”) including the etched leaves. At their deepest point, the ear wires are 2.1cm (0.8”).
