Bloke's bracelet (aka man's bracelet)
This handmade chain bracelet was designed with men in mind. It’s created using a heavier wire and clasp than my other handmade chains, but it still isn’t overly chunky or heavy.
Each link has been created from sterling silver wire, soldered, stretched into an oblong shape and then lovingly beaten with a ball pean hammer to produce an eye-catching texture. The chain has then been tumbled to make it bright and shiny.
As you can see, handmade chains have quite a lot of work involved in them – and I think this makes them very special.
Of course the chain can also be worn by women who happen to like the larger and slightly heavier design – it’s not too masculine by any means.
The bracelet is 27.5cm (10.8”) long and features a handmade sterling silver clasp. It can be clasped at any link and have a trailing length of chain, as shown in the images. However, if you would like the length changed, just let me know.
Alternatively it’s easy to snip off any undesired excess chain using some simple tinsnips or pliers with a cutting edge – which any bloke (or blokette!) should have lurking somewhere at home.
Note that my jewellery is all individually handmade. The item you purchase may differ slightly from the one photographed. This is part of the beauty of handmade work – no two pieces are ever identical.
PS. ‘Bloke’ is British and Australian slang for ‘man’ – just in case you’re still wondering!
