Delivery

Please note: all orders are sent from Australia, but are delivered to customers all over the world.

If you prefer to make your purchase in Australian dollars, visit my Australian handmade jewellery shop.

Read on to learn more about costs and timing of delivery.

Shipping & handling costs

The delivery cost for most individual items in my international shop is US$5.30 to most countries outside of Australia and US$2.75 within Australia.

Multiple item orders do increase this cost, but generally only by small increments per item.

Total costs for shipping are based upon your location and how many items you order. These are fully calculated prior to completing checkout after you have input your delivery address details. You will be given the postage cost before you make payment.

Note that items which can be sent in an envelope (such as polishing cloths) will be less. Larger pieces needing to be posted in packaging thicker than 2cm (0.8") will be more - again, this will be calculated as part of the checkout process prior to making your payment.

In Australia or NZ?

Australian and New Zealand customers may prefer to make purchases through my Australian jewellery shop, where there is more detailed information about delivery to both countries.

Turnaround time

Generally I aim to have orders turned around within 2 business days of receiving payment. Items which are made to order or need alterations and may take longer - there are notes about this in the item listings where appropriate. If there is a delay for any other reason I will contact you.

If you urgently require your order please contact me to discuss this.

Shipping

I post items by Australia Post, using airmail for deliveries outside of Australia. Items are generally sent from the Blue Mountains, just outside of Sydney in Australia.

Delivery to most locations outside of Australia - including the US and Europe - generally takes between 4 to 8 business days. Delivery within Australia is usually within 2 to 6 business days.

Delays are rare, but they may occur for reasons beyond my control, including checking by your local customs officials or delays to your local postal services.

If international mail is known to be slow to arrive in your country, please allow a little extra time.

Packaging

My orders are mostly shipped in small boxes which both protect your purchases and should be thin enough to fit through any letterbox, meaning you are unlikely to need to make a special trip to pick up your purchases. This also helps keep postage costs down.

If you order several items or some of the few larger pieces I make, the box I use will need to be larger.

All jewellery purchased is wrapped to help protect it.

Tracking

Unfortunately tracking of parcels is not available from Australia without paying exorbitant international courier charges. These start from US$60 for a delivery. However, Australia Post delivery is very reliable.

Express delivery

Delivery will be next business day when using Express Post for Australian addresses, provided your delivery address is within the 'guaranteed next business day delivery network' from postcode 2783 - learn more. If you are not in the guaranteed area, I find that most Express Post items still arrive the next day more often than not.

However, for other countries I have not included options for express international courier. This is because these costs are generally very high (upwards of US$60) and can vary a great deal by destination.

If you would like to find out more about the cost of an international courier, please contact me and I will provide you with a quote.

Missing deliveries

Generally deliveries are very reliable from Australia and it is rare for items to go missing in transit.

However, if an item you have ordered from me has not arrived after 10 business days, please contact me.

Note that all of the customs barcodes for my orders are scanned and I retain copies of the barcode for each international delivery, helping Australia Post to investigate missing parcels.

Customs and import duties

Unfortunately I have no control over any duties which may be added to the cost of your parcel by your own country's customs officials. As the importer, it is your responsibility to pay any such duties which may be applicable.

The majority of my deliveries have not attracted duties in most countries, but you should check with your local officials if you are concerned about this.

All of my international parcels containing jewellery are labelled as 'fashion accessories' on the customs forms.
